I guess some older folks believe that seeing garbage, can promote garbage behavior in children, but you're all growed up now, right? I'm sure your folks know a few dirty jokes they heard from Richard Pryor or a Lenny Bruce LP or some shit...
They're all get sticks wedged so far up their asses, I doubt they've ever really listened to any comedians besides like Blue Collar Comedy.
I'm 20 and they get freaked out when I know about sex toys and how coke dealers make their employees handle cocaine, but it's like am I the weird one for knowing that or are you just the ignorant one who never googles random facts? Same thing with comedy, they think that sense of humor might be weird and unfunny, but watching the shit they think is funny is mind numbing
I think the distinction in all of this, is the type of humor.. would it even be relevant? I'm not much for city/rap music because I live in the country, and most happy there. Guess the same can be said of humor too, different strokes for different folks and all.
But above that, is how we conduct ourselves in public, and that's changed drastically in the past 40 years. Really sucks to see so many people spending so much time on smartphones, when they're actually outside, in the process of doing something atypical... or sometimes too typical. Bet your folks know who Emily Post was lol
