Everyone needs validation sometimes.

I don't trust people who are constantly happy for no reason with no apparent external or internal motivation for being like that. Think about it like this: lawyers, used car salesmen, and politicians look happy way too often despite the fact that nobody likes them... yeah, no. I'd rather talk to the person who doesn't think that they're infallible because their first thought if I were to drop dead in front of them wouldn't be whether my organs would fetch a good price.

Well, you don't get anywhere by sulking.

Talking about your problems head-on and in-depth with the people you trust might work. There's always therapy, but then again, it's costly.

If their regular response is nothing more than a repetitive soundbyte, they're not real help.
